over 50 years of combined experience in medical billing,
practice management, financial services, and marketing.
Elizabeth Ann Starr - President & Owner
Ann Starr founded Starr Medical Management Inc. in 1989, bringing 14
years of medical practice management and medical billing experience to
the firm. Prior to starting Starr Medical, Ann was Office Manager to a
general surgical group in the Ayer area where she developed, implemented
and managed all aspects of medical office management including
patient care and scheduling, billing and administrative systems, and
personnel hiring/training/management and computerization. Ann's
30 year history and experience in the field has produced a very sound
company of billing professionals who service multi-specialty physician
practices. Art Starr - CFO & VP Operations
Art Starr has extensive experience in finance and marketing having
spent 20 years with Digital Equipment Corporation in these disciplines.
Art brings this vast experience to Starr Medical Management and is
responsible for both Starr Medical's financial and marketing strategies
and the delivery of Financial Management Services to their clients. Art
works very closely with clients to simplify the business management
aspect of their practice and to implement the necessary detail financial
work that is involved. This relieves physicians of another large
area of management, thus allowing them to focus on patient care.
Staff
Our staff offers your practice many capabilities that make
working with Starr Medical Management an easy choice. Our
client account managers have many years of experience in a
broad range of practice specialties that ensure you get the
support your practice needs. When you become a client, you
get assigned a client account manager who understands your
practice and is there to help you with all your billing
needs.
Terri Starr, Office Manager / Systems Manager, has been
with Starr Medical Management for 11 years and has focused
on pediatric, family practice, cardiology and allergy
billing. Currently, she focuses on pain management, and
pediatric billing. In addition to her billing expertise,
Terri manages the day to day operations of Starr Medical
Management including the complex software system.
Sue, Client Account Manager, has been with Starr Medical
Management for 10 years coming here from a local orthopedic
surgeon where she was the billing manager. She has supported
many specialties for us including family practice,
reproductive medicine, pulmonary, urology, and pain
management. Currently, she handles our orthopedic,
neurology, and general surgery clients where she has
mastered the billing complexities for these specialties.
Michelle, Client account
representative focuses her attention on pediatric, and
family medicine.
Annie, Administrative Assistant, has worked for
Starr Medical Management for 5 years. Her attention to
detail is exemplary in coordinating electronic, and paper
claim billing, as well as all aspects of patient statements.
Laura,
A/R specialist, brings more than
4 years experience in medical insurance follow up, and keeps
up with the ever changing demands that carriers place on
providers for appeals and denials.
